So it has been brought up in the past and repeatedly left to die because we still can't seem to come to a consensus on what to do about the lawyer job.  I'd like to get a discussion started here about what to do about making the lawyer job relevant.

Problem: The lawyer job is practically useless because getting a client out of jail either requires either full cooperation of the police department or a team of heavily armed thieves/resistance.

Possible suggestion: Allow the lawyer to spawn a PC terminal which allows them to view bail amounts (based on time left to serve) and let them bail out people that way.

Here is how it would work:
1. Someone comes to the lawyer and requests that Jelman be let out of prison.
2. The lawyer looks Jelman up on his terminal and see his bail is set at $30,000 (which actually sounds like a reasonable starting amount for bail).
3. The lawyer asks for the bail money plus whatever they feel they should charge for their services.
4. When the lawyer tries to release Jelman via his terminal, a vote is started among the police (not the mayor or bounty hunters, they aint police) on whether or not to bail him out.
5. If the officers vote 'Yes', Jelman is immediately released and the officers are provided with a monetary incentive (lets say $5000).  If the officers vote 'No' Jelman will be automatically be released after  30 seconds (representing the lawyer using legal loopholes to circumvent the local justice system)

Thats just my suggestion on the matter.  What are the rest of ya'll's thoughts?

Would it be within the confines of the mayor's job to legalize marijuana growth for licensed professionals (aka the Doctor job, give it some actual use)?  The mayor could also put a few more restrictions on it like being subject to random searches by officers, taxing the owner of the ents, ect.  It seems like a reasonable law to me but I figure I should get some feedback on it.

Ok so this one is pretty easy.  We all know that selling drugs (aside from being naughty) automatically makes you wanted.  Problem is at that point, you've already gotten away with the crime.  I suggest that for 5 minutes after selling drugs, if the seller is arrested, they lose the money that they gained.

My FPS keeps tanking when i log on (im getting between 1 and 13) and all I have to show are these errors.

I've tried resubscribing to and redownloading all the addons, didnt work
I've tried messing with all the multicore rendering BS, Didn't work
I've tried joining oher servers running hardly any mods, that works (~80 FPS)
I've tried going into single player, that works (~280fps)

My suggestion is to take away the pistil that resistance members spawn with.  Too many times, i see it used just to RDM or bait police.  If they want a gun, they can buy them like pretty much everyone else.

Suggestions and Questions / [Job suggestion] Fence

For those who don't know, a fence is one who typically buys stolen goods from criminals (guns, phones, cars, ect.) and sells them on the black market.

Today's suggestion is to make such a job available to encourage group raiding.

Using a "/fence" command while looking at a nearby shipment or vehicle would start a 60 second selling process, after which the item would despawn and the fence would get some money based on what they sold (maybe like $200 per item in a shipment or $1000-$10000 for a car) THEN, based on the item sold, there would be a chance for them to become automatically wanted for "Trafficking"

A Fence could be part of a gang but unable to participate in raids.

Alright, so a majority of use are looking at getting a new map, but we can't seem to decide on one and it doesn't look like the only apparently active root is going to make the call on his own, so lets just put it to a vote.  Bear in mind that some of the larger maps may necessitate vehicles.

So the other guy's thread got me thinking about the way we do robberies.  I was thinking our thieves should take a more active approach.

1. Each Thief that wants a cut would have to hold E on the pallet, vault, ect.  Doing so would build up a "cut" to a certain maximum.  Lets say $20,000.

2.  Once the thieves are satisfied with their cuts, they would actually need to escape the bank to get any money.  Would probably ave to be proximity based.

Are /pm and /911 ok to use while kidnapped since all your stuff would have been taken by the kidnapper?

What about buying guns as a BMD while kidnapped?

I suggest adding a /call feature which would work identical to /pm but would be unusable while in prison and would give notice in the form of "Tschudy makes a phone call."  As far as rules go, this would be for private IC chatter while PM would be exclusively OOC chatter.

As is stands, the kidnapper is extremely difficult to play chiefly due to the fact that it has a unique (since nobody bothers with pickpocket) model.  Cops end up keeping their eye out and any time he comes around, people know to keep their backs to the wall.  I suggest giving him citizen models.  I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out.

The kidnapper is supposed to be just the lone creeper right?  The guy who works in the mail room at work, pays taxes, is occasionally reminded by the homeowners association to mow his lawn...oh, and keeps fat women in his basement, slowly starving them and over moisturizing their skin so he can turn them into a coat.  Point is, until people see this guy for what he is, he should just be able to blend in.

I'm suggesting to get rid of the weapon modder and add relevant mods to the gun dealer and BMD.  Seldom does anyone actually use the modder properly.  Its either not used at all, used to RDM, or the player just walks around and does nothing.

I'd also like to see the rest of the mods brought into the game like the drum mag for the RPK.

Lets face it, the RP4 server is dead as a door nail.  Why not try putting the new game mode on it and see which map people like best?  I know that it lacks a bank so hear me out on that...

Allow the banker to spawn the cash pallet and establish their own bank.  Perhaps while the pallet is active and hasn't been successfully robbed in a while, the banker and bank security guards get like x10 or so to their salary.

I'm suggesting a system similar to the bank robbery system.  In this instance, there would be some sort of terminal or something in the mayors office which would allow a resistance leader to take over the government (with the help of his cronies of course).  The leader and any other participants would be automatically wanted and would need to hold the PD for 8 minutes.  At the end of that time, the Mayor, Police, SWAT, and any bounty hunters would be automatically demoted, allowing the Resistance to take over the government directly, or implant a puppet ruler.
