In my opinion, there should be no change to how long printers last. People pay for the supporter rank for good reason. Apart from the jobs, printers are another huge reason people are willing to support.

There is a section in legacy rules dictating that you are not allowed to sell printers to other players. It can be argued that even if you can buy printers, you can just steal them, and it would be a valid point.

With this said, there are many instances where players set up a shop to specifically buy printers off others, accelerating the rate of printers per player/base. Even though you would be able to steal them off other players, having a rule dictating selling printers as illegal would slow the main source of the problem.

It would also be a fantastic idea to add a rule dictating that if you carry more than x printers, they must be placed on a shelf, stopping any collisions between them.

Late reply!

Collisions of that degree are meh, don't do much harm to the server.
Plus if I wanted to not have piled up colliding printers, id just make them have a collision counter that decays over time.

So if they collide more than 100 times/minute for example they ignite :D

An even later reply! Thought I'd check out the website just for giggles. I miss the family. Still love all of you.

I like that idea, only executing on problem spots, reducing the chance of babies crying. There is a limit on how many printers you are able to buy via f4 for a reason. Yes the cost from menu would be far cheaper than buying it off a player, but the profit is guaranteed. Just look how Script is got 20M in one night. (A long night at that one)

To me it's either restrict or don't restrict. If players want to obtain more then allowed printers with no rp then it's going to happen.

Along with the jittery printers timer, it would be interesting to have a proximity timer where if the player doesn't go-to the printer in x time then it explodes.

I don't think printers getting down to the Harlem shake deserve death lol.

Wire / E2 / Re: [REQUEST] E2 Request Money Thingy
« on: August 08, 2018, 01:47 pm »
I advocate the the add-on made by TylerB that allowes this function. I have plenty of e2s that use this function, creating a seamless transaction process making it easy for both sides. Unfortunately, the staff believe that this type of e2 function is abusable via being able to target all players and ask them for a random amount of money. It would be a simple fix where the target has to be in a certain range of the e2, but I would be surprised if that happens.

So as of right now, we have to use moneypots.

I advocate for this add-on!!!

In my opinion, its not hidden and two players would be able to crack it. I would approve of it.

I think people freak out too much about keypad placement. As long as it's in the raiding entrance and two people are able to crack it, then why does it matter. There are so few things you can do to change up the defence tactic.

V4c_v2 is an old ass map. It's been granfathered in and needs to go. With a community like this, a size like this we can get people to play on it. It's close enough to v4c_v2 where I think players are reasonably familiar and can deal with the change.

Suggestions and Questions / Re: !Nlr command

The conversation is about adding !nlr as a targetable ulx command. I agree that the spheres of death are bad. I hate them, noone should use them. If we can target other players then it could make it much easier to tell if there is an nlr break.

Suggestions and Questions / !Nlr command

!Nlr command is very useful and is a fantastic alternative to the death spheres that some servers swear by. As an admin, if an nlr break report occurs, for the most part you have to rely on the word of people, death logs, or word your sentence in a way that forces the truth out of people. There is always the option to spectate as AoD, but it would be fantastic to have the ability to use the !nlr command to check the last death of another play to easily see if they are breaking nlr.

Thanks!

Suggestions and Questions / Re: Shooting window heights
« on: July 26, 2018, 10:47 pm »
My understanding was that the legacy rules were still in effect, causing confusion with the certain rule about how high the shooting window has to be. It was decided between the Superadmins that the windows had to be the same height on the raider's and baser's side. Because the legacy rules are not valid, I think that generally clears up the air. Thank you for your input :)

The point is, the current rules state that the players have to be on the same level, not talkimg about the actual window size. I'm pointing out that three super admins interperated a rule resulting in an answer that wouldnt be obtainable in any other way.

As per Banicoot, BlueNova, and Prodigy the example of the shooting window is illegal.

On legacy DarkRP rules, under the rule 2i, it says:

"Both sides have to be able to shoot the person in the exact same spot at all times."

On the !rules page that shows on spawn, rule 3 of shooting windows only states that the players have to be on the same level.

"You may shoot from farther away from the window, but you must be on the same level as the player."

Example of the rule break:

I understand why there would be a legacy rules but it seems very fragmented. Building rules are very commonly looked at, and missing a key detail like this causes confusion due to two rules pages. They could possibly be consolidated clarifying certain details as there are not an obscene amount of building rules.

Thanks!
