Restart your steam, then go to library and click play game. Then once gmod is started, go to single player and then rejoin RP4. If you crash again, start gmod back up and join RP4.

By go to single player, What? I just press options, then my console button, type the ip and go

The single player thing won't help...

Might be related to the new font systems implemented for MAX OS in the update. I'll have a read on facepunch for anything related but not sure if I can help.

It happened to me twice yesterday on my mac, I pulled up my game library, hit Garry's Mod, hit play game, and followed the same steps i posted. It seems to me that anytime I have a crashing problem, I just need to follow those steps and sometimes verify my game cache.
