DarkRP 2.5 - RP5

DarkRP 2.5 is being tested along with a severely reduced lag M9K weapon pack.
The M9K edits have removed a fair few effects, but without these edits it's just to laggy.

Changes from the top of my head:

ULX Enabled.
Printers changed - Added a public printer set & removed any exploits/issues with them.
Printer upgrades/coolant etc.
Secret Agent renamed.
Gangsters given keypad crackers & split into 2 ranks.
Hitman system (Not tried, should be built into DarkRP 2.5 though).
Money has been wiped, because why not.
Money gift codes will be able to be used again on RP5, this will be done some time this weekend.
Dr Moo's hud has been tweaked by Weasel & added to this version.

DarkRP 2.5 Issues:
No gift code support yet, needs some fancy PHP that I keep putting off as I hate PHP :(
- I'll try to get around to that this week, for now you can use codes on RP4 to get admin on RP5 etc, they're linked.
Since we're using ULX the simple ban page on the forums won't work, I will be ripping through ULX and editing it to use our ban system.

Can't really think of anything else right now. There is a changelog, however it started way to late into the edits.

The only thing I don't really like about newer versions of DarkRP is the F4 menu. Its absolutely vile in my opinion and I hope it can be changed.

-Server Lacks smart snap

-admins spawn with keypad checker regardless of job

-mayor has WAY too many weapons.  Needs to lose the stunstick, arrest/unarrest baton, MP5SD.  Pretty much everything besides the normal loadout and his revolver need to go.


also, can we get a detailed explanation of what the printer upgrades and coolant does?

coolant (as i remember from a old rp sever), when a printer is on fire it will cool it down by spraying it or otherwise. here is a old vid that i saw a variation of this on.
the canisters that he shows is the "coolant", but in that one it is halon (or whatever it was) but you'll get the point. and the printer moding, makes it go faster or, makes it make more money (and prob make it go slower in the process).

Coolant is needed for printers that are 'overpowered'. If they don't get coolant every now and then they will explode.
Printers requiring this have an obvious blue coolant bar in them.

Upgrades simply upgrade the print power by 50%.

I have a suggestion that I feel would be a cool idea;

Bankers -

Should be given the ability to buy a Coolant and Upgrade shipment, for a cheaper price,

1 Coolant / Upgrade = 10k

Shipment = 50-70k? I'll let you decide.

Its expensive, but it would hopefully portray a positive look on the banker and convince people to take on the role, especially if people were clever and made banks with an auto coolant system.

Actually it would be nice to have an e2 that can check and automatically apply coolant to needy printers.


Got a fresh batch of bugs for ya.

-Signs made by the Textscreen tool under SS Construction are considered roleplay enities and cannot be affected by toolguns.

-Trying to open the e2 interface crashes gmod (for me at least)

-Use of the weldall command blockes all of the owner's props giving "blocked:constrained entity"

-We dont have empty shipments.

-We dont have Ammunition shipments.

-Some weapon shipments are actually cheaper than a single.

Also is the 30 rounds of nanoflex for $240 intentional?

-Gun prices are screwed up (Example: A single AW40 costs $1250 to spawn while a shipment costs $1000)

-Printers disappear when their owner logs off.

I seem to get a recurring error, 20 minutes in it freezes and I can still hear it. Conor seems to be getting the same issue. Great FPS though, 100 fps or more, depending where I am.
