E2 Anti Theft [Help]
« on: February 01, 2015, 03:18 pm »
I was wondering how can I get a full proof way to stop someone from stealing my E2's. On another server I play on, the admins can advanced dupe other peoples stuff, and some guy told me how he could take off someone's anti dupe that they have in the code...

Methods I know won't work:
Hiding the chip (There are e2 finders)
Putting an anti dupe code in the chip (Because there is a way to remove it)
Disabling advanced dupe (The server won't disable it)

Admins cannot advance dupe your E2 without your permission and only Super Admin+ have an E2 finder that is allowed.

Your concern is understandable. While it is technically possible for an admin to duplicate your chip, It is unacceptable for admins to do this and is against rules. If they are caught doing this they will be sanctioned appropriately in accordance with the warning system we have here.

You could probably hide the chip in the wall. While you mentioned that e2 finders exist, they are not allowed (unless you're superadmin on duty). I think E2 Chips that are pushed into the wall can not be targeted by a toolgun.

He is asking for help on another server where admins CAN dupe his stuff.

Peace love and positvity.

Using the precision tool and putting it in a wall would probably work, thanks so much!

try putting this in the buttom of your expression 2

Code: [Select]
if(duped()) {
    if(owner():steamID() != "YOURSTEAMIDHERE") {
        print("This dosen't belong to you!")
        selfDestruct()
    }else{
        print(";P")
    }
}

fixed your post :)

Make E2 invisible via colormater.

Can't dupe, they can't see.

But if they have an e2 finder they can get close to it then look around with toolgun and it will highlight.  Best option is to push through a wall or something of that sort.

My one recommendation is to make it invisible and then use E2 to set its position in the wall upon every tick; try this
if(first()|duped()){
    entity:setColor(vec(255),0)
    entity:setPos(vec(0,0,-1000))
    runOnTick(1)
}
entity:setPos(vec(0,0,-1000))
Although this can be removed in the code, this should put the chip under the map (depending on what map you're on) and make the chip invisible. I havent tested this myself but I am almost certain this will work. If you already have an if(first()|duped()) then just put the two lines of code into the if(first()|duped()) and it will work the same, although make sure to also put the second "entity:setPos(vec(0,0,-1000))" out of the if(first()|duped()). Good luck!
